Tabriz is the capital of Azerbaijan, which lies in the mountainous region of northwest Iran. This is one of Persia's largest rug-producing regions, which exports all qualities of rugs, from the simplest to the most luxurious. The highest-quality rugs are divided into 2 main categories.
